Sketch 2023 Homecoming: Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute (Deemed To Be University) aiming to bring about change and progress through education, the tmt. kannammal educational trust was constituted in 1985 and started thai moogambigal polytechnic college. within three years of its inception, DR. M.G.R. Engineering college was founded in 1988 and the thai moogambigai dental college was started in the year 1991.

both the colleges emerged as Dr. M .G. R. Educational and Research Institute as per the orders of the university grants commission, new delhi and the union ministry of human resources and development, government of india, new delhi in 2003, acs medical college and hospital started in 2008 has been brought into the ambit as a constitute of deemed to be university by mhrd notification.

The 21st century poses a lot of challenges that could overcome with the help of education and technology. Keeping this in mind dr. M.g.r educational and research institute has extended its am to develop the architecture department. The faculty of architecture is renowned for its innovative approach to experimental leaming in the field of architecture. Landscape, construction project management and interior design.

SKETCH – THE SIGNATURE

Mgarchianz sketch is an intercollege architectural and cultural fest which commenced in the year 2017. It is now branded as the signature event of faculty of architecture, dr. M.g.r. Educational and research institute, chennai.

With the objective to connect students from various architecture and design schools, exchange and share design ideas, explore new media, portray talents on common backgrounds.

Event comprises of architectural technical workshops, art and crafts workshop, sports competition, club activities, dance, singing, fashion show competition and informal games, followed by vibrant host performances where boundless talents from foa are put on parade.

Over the years we’ve had actress aishwarya rajesh, renowned actor director bakiyaraj, music director devi sri prasad, anchor parvathy, actress yashika aannand celebrating the event with us.
