About National Open Race Walking Championships 2023

10th Edition of National Open Race Walking Championships 2023 will be held at Ranchi (Jharkhand) on 14th and 15th February 2023.

The Championships and events shall be organized in accordance with the Rules of World Athletics- Competition & Technical Rules 2022 & Indian Athletics Manual (updated as on 01.10.2020). The SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) issued by Govt. of India/MYAS/SAI/AFI & Government of Jharkhand shall be followed for hosting this National Athletics Championships.

Age Groups

The Championships will be held in the following age groups:

Men : 35 KM

Women : 35 KM

Men (A & B) : 20 KM

Women (A & B) : 20 KM

Under 20 Boys : 10 KM

Under 20 Girls : 10 KM

20KM (Men & Women) will be conducted in TWO groups (A & B). The Athletes who have achieved the under mentioned qualifying mark in any of the AFI/State Meet will be allowed to participate in Race Walking Championships. The Athletes have to submit the copy of results/certificate where he/she achieved the qualifying standard for participation in 10th Edition of National Open Race Walking Championships while submitting the online entry. Submit your entry only if you have achieved the qualifying standard. The Entry Fee once paid is Non-Refundable.

35KM

Men’s – 3:10:00.0 and below

Women’s – 3:50:00.0 and below

20KM

Men’s Group A – 1:35:00.0 and below

Men’s Group B – above 1:35:00.0 and below 1:45:00.0

Women’s Group A – 1:45:00.0 and below

Women’s Group B – above 1:45:00.0 and below 2:00:00.0

10KM

Boys Under 20 – 50:00.00

Girls Under 20 – 1:06:00.0

Reckoning of Age Under 20 Boys & Girls

One should have born between 16th February 2003 and 15th February 2007.

Age Verification

Under 20 Boys & Girls are required to bring original Birth Certificate from Municipality/Corporation or 10th Standard Certificate issued by Central/ State recognized educational board for verification by the Age Verification Committee/Team of Doctors. Athletes who are drop outs should bring Birth Certificate and 10th class passing certificate. Those athletes who have not gone to school at all should bring original Birth Certificate. Under-20 Athletes who do not bring the requisite proof of age, will not be allowed to participate. Birth certificate should be issued within 3 years of birth.

Entry Fee

Entry fee of INR 1200/- is applicable for all groups.

Entry Form

The online entry will be available on AFI Website www.indianathletics.in from 25^th January 2023 (Noon). Athletes can visit the website and can fill their entries online. Athletes have to make the entries online by themselves only. The last date to submit the entry is 8th February 2023 (midnight). The link will expire after the deadline and no changes/addition/deletion will be allowed after submitting the entry.

Last Date for receipt of Entries

The last date for receipt of entry is 8th February 2023. In no case entries received after the due date, will be accepted.

Dope Samples

Dope Samples will be collected by the officials of National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA).

Boarding & Lodging & Local Transport

It may also be noted that Boarding & Lodging and local transport facilities to Athletes/Managers/Coaches will NOT be provided by the Organizers. The participating Athletes/Managers/Coaches will therefore have to make their own arrangements in this regard. It may please be noted that Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) prepared by AFI and other guidelines issued by State Government in this connection with COVID – 19 pandemic are strictly followed to ensure that the competition is conducted smoothly.
