ICSSR Sponsored Seminar 2022: Today, India is known as one of the largest economies in the world. India, as an economy, has witnessed a lot of ups and down in its journey since its independence in 1947. The country was miserably poor due to relentless drain of wealth and brutal de-industrialization by the Britishers.

After independence, Indian economy started its economic journey with the concept of five-year plans administered by the Planning Commission of India in 1950.

The seminar aims at exploring the all-possible dimensions of India’s economic journey since independence. The themes and sub-themes of the seminar includes (but not limited to):
